ABOUT US
The Florida Society of Ophthalmology (FSO) is a nonprofit medical society focused on protecting and promoting the medical specialty of ophthalmology. FSO represents more than 500 physician members across the state and provides continuing medical education for physicians and other healthcare professionals to advance patient care in the realm of ophthalmology. Founded in 1939, FSO continues to represent the interests of ophthalmologists by promoting high professional standards, supporting physician-led care and providing opportunities for members to stay informed, connected and engaged.
Our Mission
The mission of the Florida Society of Ophthalmology is to promote and to protect the medical specialty of ophthalmology through active participation in legislative advocacy and through providing continuing medical education and the dissemination of responsible information to its members, physicians and to the citizens of Florida to ensure the delivery of the highest standard of eye care throughout the state of Florida.
